Tuberculosis often referred to as TB. It is a contagious disease. It is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is a potentially serious infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can also affect other organs such as the brain, kidneys, or spine. Only except the hairs and nails.

क्षय रोग, जिसे अक्सर टीबी भी कहा जाता है। यह एक संक्रामक रोग है। यह माइकोबैक्टीरियम ट्यूबरकुलोसिस जीवाणु के कारण होता है। यह एक अत्यंत गंभीर संक्रामक रोग है। जो मुख्य रूप से फेफड़ों को प्रभावित करता है लेकिन मस्तिष्क, गुर्दे या रीढ़ जैसे अन्य अंगों को भी प्रभावित कर सकता है। केवल बाल और नाखून को छोड़कर शरीर के हर अंग को प्रभावित कर सकता है।

How Is TB Spread?

कैसे फैलता है टीबी?

TB is spread through the air when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks. The affected Patient releaseses tiny droplets containing TB bacteria. People nearby can inhale these droplets and become infected.

टीबी हवा के माध्यम से तब फैलता है जब कोई संक्रमित व्यक्ति खांसता है, छींकता है या बात करता है।  इससे टीबी बैक्टीरिया युक्त छोटी बूंदें निकलती हैं। आस-पास के लोग इन बूंदों को सांस के माध्यम से अंदर ले सकते हैं और संक्रमित हो सकते हैं।

Signs And Symptoms Of TB:

टीबी के लक्षण एवं संकेत:

Persistent Cough:

लगातार खांसी:

A cough that lasts for more than two weeks or produces phlegm or blood.

ऐसी खांसी जो दो सप्ताह से अधिक समय तक रहती हो या जिसमें कफ या खून निकलता हो।

Chest Pain:

छाती में दर्द:

Pain or discomfort in the chest, especially while coughing or breathing deeply.

सीने में दर्द या बेचैनी, खासकर खांसते या गहरी सांस लेते समय।

Coughing Up Blood:

खांसी के साथ खून आना:

Haemoptysis, in which is coughing up blood or blood in sputum.

हेमोप्टाइसिस, जिसमें खांसी के साथ खून या खून वाला थूक आता है।

Fatigue And Weakness:

थकान और कमजोरी:

Feeling tired, weak or experiencing unexplained weight loss.

थका हुआ, कमज़ोर महसूस करना, या बिना कारण वजन घटने का अनुभव करना।

Fever And Night Sweats, Fever With Chills:

Low-grade fever, especially in the evening, accompanied by night sweats.

Loss Of Appetite:

Decreased appetite and unintended weight loss.

Breathing Difficulties:

साँस लेने में कठिनाई:

Shortness of breath, wheezing, or difficulty breathing.

सांस की तकलीफ, घरघराहट, या सांस लेने में कठिनाई।

Diagnosis Of TB:

टीबी का निदान:

Sputum Test:

बलगम परीक्षण :

Examination of sputum (mucus coughed up from the lungs) for TB bacteria under a microscope or through culture.

माइक्रोस्कोप के तहत या कल्चर के माध्यम से टीबी बैक्टीरिया के लिए बलगम (फेफड़ों से निकले बलगम) की जांच।

Tuberculin Skin Test (TST):

ट्यूबरकुलिन त्वचा परीक्षण (टीएसटी):

A small amount of TB protein is injected under the skin and a reaction is measured. To determine if the person is being exposed to TB bacteria or not.

त्वचा के नीचे टीबी प्रोटीन की एक छोटी मात्रा इंजेक्ट की जाती है और प्रतिक्रिया मापी जाती है। यह निर्धारित करने के लिए कि क्या व्यक्ति टीबी बैक्टीरिया के संपर्क में आया है या नही।

Blood Tests:

रक्त परीक्षण:

Blood tests can detect TB antibodies or measure immune responses to TB bacteria.

रक्त परीक्षण से टीबी एंटीबॉडी का पता लगाया जा सकता है या टीबी बैक्टीरिया के प्रति प्रतिरक्षा प्रतिक्रिया को मापा जा सकता है।

Chest X-ray:

छाती का एक्स – रे:

An X-ray of the chest can show signs of TB infection or active disease in the lungs.

छाती के एक्स-रे से टीबी संक्रमण या फेफड़ों में सक्रिय बीमारी के लक्षण दिखाई दे सकते हैं।

Treatment And Management:

उपचार एवं प्रबंधन:

Antibiotics:

एंटीबायोटिक्स:

TB is treated with combination 3 or 4 combinations of antibiotics for Six months or even more to ensure complete eradication of the bacteria.

बैक्टीरिया का पूर्ण उन्मूलन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए टीबी का इलाज छह महीने या उससे भी अधिक समय तक 3 या 4 एंटीबायोटिक दवाओं के समूह से संयोजन किया जाता है।

Directly Observed Therapy (DOT):

डायरेक्टली ऑब्जर्व्ड थेरेपी (डीओटी):

Primary Health Care / Family Doctor may observe patients taking their medications to ensure adherence of therapy and treatment success.

पालन और उपचार की सफलता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य सेवा केंद्र / Family Doctor मरीजों को उनकी दवाएँ लेते हुए देख सकते हैं।

Isolation And Infection Control:

अलगाव और संक्रमण नियंत्रण:

Patients with active TB may need to be isolated to prevent the spread of infection. Proper infection control measures are crucial in healthcare settings.

संक्रमण के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए सक्रिय टीबी वाले मरीजों को अलग करने की आवश्यकता हो सकती है। स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सेटिंग्स में उचित संक्रमण नियंत्रण उपाय महत्वपूर्ण हैं।

The Bacilli Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine can help prevent severe forms of TB in children but is not always effective in preventing pulmonary TB in adults.

बैसिलि कैल्मेट-गुएरिन (बीसीजी) टीका बच्चों में टीबी के गंभीर रूपों को रोकने में मदद कर सकता है लेकिन वयस्कों में फुफ्फुसीय टीबी को रोकने में हमेशा प्रभावी नहीं होता है।

Covering the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and practicing good hand hygiene can help prevent the spread of TB.

खांसते या छींकते समय मुंह और नाक को ढंकना और हाथों की अच्छी स्वच्छता का अभ्यास करने से टीबी के प्रसार को रोकने में मदद मिल सकती है।
